SKK, Gian Devi Jandial Trust felicitated Divyang toppers

Jammu, June 06 (KIP)- At a well-attended function held here today, the Samaj Kalyan Kendra (SKK), a well-known NGO felicitated the Deaf & Dumb School Toppers of the Board of School Education Examinations of 2025, with cash awards and mementos.
A cash award of Rs 4000/- was given to the 12th class topper, Karanjeet Singh who secured 77.2 % marks. Damini who is the school topper of 11th class with 83.2% marks, was given the cash award of Rs 3500/- while Nishant Kumar, topper of 10th class with 70.7% marks was given cash award of Rs 2500/-. These awards were jointly presented by the President SKK, K B Jandial, General Secretary, JK Vaid & Secretary HN Raina.
Another Charitable Trust, Smt. Gian Devi Jandial Memorial Public Trust, also honoured these toppers with cash awards. The Trustee, K B Jandial presented the cash award of Rs 2500/- to Karanjeet Singh, 12th class topper, Rs2000/- to Damini 11th class topper and Rs 1000/- to Nishant Kumar, 10th class topper. This Trust is giving cash awards to the toppers for the last four years.
Appreciating the 11th class result, the Senior Advisor to SKK, Prem Gupta presented on his behalf, cash awards of Rs. 1000/- to Damini and six other divyang students who passed the examination with distinctions & first Division.
Another Advisor to SKK, M L Kachroo presented stationery articles to the toppers and all passed-out students of 11th class.
Felicitating the toppers and other divyang students for their excellent marks overcoming their physical deficiencies, Jandial said that the brilliant result of the School for Hearing Handicapped in the BOSE examinations, is the cumulative efforts of the students, their parents, and the teachers and these awards are the recognition of these efforts of students. He said that from this year, the senior teachers will also be awarded for the distinctions in their subjects. He advised the passed-out students to consider joining higher studies for which the SKK provides fifty percent reimbursement of semester fee.
Jandial thanked, on behalf of the SKK fraternity the Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha, Dr Ashok Bhan, member of the Shrine Board and the Chief Executive officer, Anshul Garg, for the special support being extended to the SKK to overcome its problems, and hoped that this support would continue in future as well in the interest of divyang.
Vaid congratulated the students, parents and teachers for giving to the school cent percent results for the last about ten years and said that the SKK has been taking up new initiatives including felicitating brilliant students and teachers.
Raina also spoke on the occasion. The Principal Roshan Bhan conducted the proceedings and Mrs. Seema explained the speeches to the divyang through sign language, and presented vote of thanks
Those present on the occasion included B B Magotra, Nisar Ahmad and V K Padha and parents of the students.
