Jammu, August 03 (KIP)- Pawan Sharma, State Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, today extended heartfelt congratulations to ISRO and the entire Indian scientific community on the successful launch of NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) — a landmark mission jointly developed by ISRO and NASA.

Describing the achievement as a matter of immense national pride, Sharma said,

"The successful deployment of NISAR underscores India's rising stature as a trusted and capable space-ferrying nation. This mission not only cements our position on the global space map but also demonstrates the remarkable strides made by our scientific community in pushing the frontiers of knowledge for the collective betterment of humanity."

He praised the collaborative effort between NASA and ISRO, calling it a symbol of international cooperation for scientific advancement, and expressed confidence that the data from NISAR will be a valuable asset in tracking climate change, disaster response, and environmental protection — issues that directly impact millions of lives.

Sharma further stated that such achievements reflect the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, under whom science, technology, and innovation have been given national priority and strategic momentum.

"From Chandrayaan to NISAR, India’s space story is now being written in bold letters across the sky. Our scientists are scripting a new destiny for Bharat — one that is rooted in ancient wisdom and powered by modern innovation," he added.

He also commended the young scientific minds of Jammu & Kashmir and encouraged them to take inspiration from such historic milestones, pursue STEM education, and contribute to India’s knowledge economy.

The launch of NISAR stands as a testament to India's technological self-reliance (Atmanirbharta) and its rising role in global scientific missions aimed at safeguarding the planet and humanity.
