CEC Chairs Meeting to Review Preparations for Luncheon in Honour of His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Leh, August 20 (KIP)-Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, in the presence of Hon’ble Executive Councillors, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee and Ghulam Mehdi, along with DC/CEO, LAHDC Leh, Romil Singh Donk, today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for the forthcoming luncheon in honour of His Holiness the Dalai Lama scheduled at Sindhu Ghat on August 22, 2025.The meeting was attended by ADDC Leh, Sonam Nurboo; ADC Leh, Ghulam Mohd; CPO Leh, Tsewang Gyalson; District Superintending Engineer, PWD Leh, Dorjey Gyatso; Chief Controller of Finance, Leh, Zulfiqar Ali; District Informatics Officer, NIC Leh, Tashi Tundup; Executive Engineer PHE, Kacho Mumtaz; Executive Engineer Construction Division, Imraan Khan; Executive Officer, MC Leh, Stanzin Rabgais; DySP Headquarters Leh, Sonam Angchuk; AIO, Information Leh Rinchen Dolma; renowned artist Padma Shree Morup Namgyal; LTO Director Mipham Othsal; Thupstan Norboo, Editor of Cultural Academy Leh; F&B Manager, Sunny; and Danish Din, Manager of Grand Dragon.During the meeting, detailed discussion were held on every aspect of the upcoming luncheon. The discussions included the cultural performance, the sequence of the programme, the guest list, stage management, and seating arrangements. The H’CEC directed that all arrangements must be carried out in close coordination among departments so that the luncheon is organised in a dignified and well-coordinated manner befitting the honour of hosting His Holiness.Later, the officials, led by the H’CEC, conducted a site visit to Sindhu Ghat to personally review the on-ground preparations. The inspection moved across the venue, covering the stage setup, seating layout, cultural performance area, and designated spaces for guests. Departments were directed to refine the stage design, streamline seating arrangements, ensure proper placement of the cultural programme, and manage parking and movement of invitees smoothly. The H’CEC emphasised that the preparations should be executed with precision and close inter-departmental synergy so that the event reflects both efficiency and dignity in the presence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
