CEC Leh Meets ALHGHA and ALTOA Representatives
Discusses Tourism Concerns and ITB Berlin Participation

Leh, August 20 (KIP)-The Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, convened a meeting with representatives of ALHGHA and ALTOA to discuss challenges in Ladakh’s tourism sector and the participation in ITB Berlin 2026.Present at the meeting were CPO Leh, Shri Tsewang Gailson; ADT Leh, Ms. Padma Angmo; President ALHGHA, Ms.Rigzin Wangmo Lachic; President ALTOA, Shri Tsewang Dorje; their executive members; and Abhijeet Singh from Ernst & Young, Tourism Department.Discussions highlighted Ladakh’s ITB Berlin participation as a key platform to showcase the region, build networks, and attract international visitors. The meeting also included ALTOA’s follow-up on the Ladakh Mountaineering Foundation (LMF) and ALHGHA’s request for UTLBC loan restructuring to support financially stressed tourism stakeholders.Concluding the meeting, the representatives thanked the Hon’ble CEC for sanctioning funds to aid tourism revival. The Hon’ble CEC directed all tourism stakeholders to verify pavilion registration details, provide prompt feedback on the draft RFP for selecting the pavilion fabrication vendor, and complete the registration and vendor onboarding process without delay.
