Jammu, August 26 (KIP)-The President of J&K Civil Society, Kiran Wattal, has expressed serious concern over ongoing torrential rains in Jammu and Kashmir, followed by flash floods and cloud bursts in Doda. Wattal has demanded that the J&K Government and the Union Government launch a rescue operation on a war footing to save people from the tragedy and evacuate the vulnerable population to safer places.
In a handout issued here, Wattal has urged the authorities to launch an immediate rescue operation to save people trapped in flood-affected areas. The vulnerable population, including women, children, and the elderly, should be evacuated to safer places with arrangements for lodging, food, and water. Wattal has demanded that the J&K Government and the Union Government provide all necessary support and resources to the affected people.
Wattal has expressed deep concern for the people affected by the torrential rains and flash floods, and has urged the authorities to take immediate action to mitigate their suffering. The J&K Civil Society President has called upon the authorities to take swift and effective action to address the situation and provide relief to the affected people.
