Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen condoles demise of veteran political leader Prof. Abdul Ghani Bhat

Srinagar, September 17 (KIP)-Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) President and former Minister, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Professor Abdul Ghani Bhat, a veteran political leader and respected intellectual voice of Jammu and Kashmir.
In his condolence message, Hakeem Yaseen described Professor Bhat as a towering personality whose contributions to political discourse, public life, and academia will always be remembered. He said Professor Bhat’s passing has created a void that can never be filled.
Recalling his personal association with the late leader, Hakeem Yaseen said, “Professor Sahib, a close friend and classmate of my late father, held a special place in my heart. I always admired him and drew inspiration from his sharp wit, eloquence, and impeccable wisdom. He was not only a statesman but also a guide who shaped the political thought of many.”
The PDF President prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
“I pray to Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal peace and the highest place in Jannah. May Allah grant the family, friends, and admirers of Professor Sahib the strength to endure this profound and irreplaceable loss,” he added.
Hakeem Yaseen said that the passing away of Prof. Abdul Ghani Bhat has left Jammu and Kashmir poorer in intellect and political maturity. He emphasized that Professor Sahib’s legacy of wisdom, vision, and commitment to dialogue will continue to inspire future generations.
