Sewa Parv-2025: Ganderbal abuzz with vibrant activities

Ganderbal, September 26 (KIP)-he ongoing Sewa Parv-2025 celebrations in District Ganderbal gained further momentum today with a series of vibrant and impactful activities organized across different blocks and institutions, witnessing enthusiastic participation from locals, students, and various line departments.
A mega financial inclusion and achievement camp was organized by the Lead District office Ganderbal at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Ganderbal with the active support of the district administration Ganderbal.
The event was presided over by Under Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Abdul Gufran as chief guest, while Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Syed Faheem Baihaqi as guest of honour.
The primary objective of the camp was to create awareness among the public about ongoing Social Security Schemes, their enrolment process, and the significant achievements made by fistrict Ganderbal in promoting financial inclusion.
During the programme, speakers emphasized the importance of flagship schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Jan Dhan Yojana (JDY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
In his address, Under Secretary praised the efforts of the District Administration and acknowledged the contribution of the Lead District Office Ganderbal and various banks for their successful enrolment drives.
ICDS Ganderbal organized awareness camps under POSHAN Mah camps across Anganwadi Centres on the theme 'Men Streaming', emphasizing the role of fathers in complementary feeding. Fathers of beneficiaries actively participated, took a pledge on nutrition, and were educated about their contribution to child health and development.
Meanwhile, Municipal Council Ganderbal organized a plantation drive at Government Middle School Fatepora. Teachers, students, and MC staff, along with Swachhata Executives, planted saplings within the premises and pledged to nurture them, spreading the message of environmental sustainability.
At Government Degree College Ganderbal, an Art of Living Programme was conducted to promote mindfulness, stress management, and holistic well-being among students, encouraging them to balance academics with emotional resilience.
Adding further momentum, a cleanliness drive was carried out at Manasbal Lake by WMBA, reinforcing the message of conservation and public participation in maintaining natural resources.
Similarly, digital literacy camps were organized to equip youth and women with safe and effective use of online platforms and government services.
Government College of Physical Education Ganderbal hosted a basketball match under Sewa Parv, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and extracurricular engagement among students.
In addition, various zones of the district also witnessed plantation drives and awareness camps on agriculture and allied schemes, ensuring community participation and wider outreach of government initiatives.
