SSP Bandipora chairs crime and security review meeting

Srinagar, October 01 (KIP)-To review the overall crime and security scenario of the district, Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora, Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta-JKPS today chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines Bandipora. The meeting was attended by all GOs, SHO's and Incharge PPs of district Bandipora.
The meeting primarily focused on issues related to new criminal laws, NDPS, UAPA Cases, quality data feeding in CCTNS, strengthening police-public relations, data management, and overall security assessment in the district.
During deliberations, SSP Bandipora stressed upon efficient law enforcement, proper investigation procedures, and timely disposal of cases. He directed officers to adopt a proactive approach in tackling drug-related offenses under the NDPS Act and to take strict action against individuals involved in unlawful activities under the UAPA. He further instructed supervisory officers and SHOs to upgrade investigation standards using modern techniques and standard operating practices. Special emphasis was also laid on ensuring the safety and security of non-local labourers, alongside strengthening the bond between police and the public in the district.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of enhancing intelligence gathering, intensifying anti-drug initiatives, and improving coordination among security agencies to ensure a robust security environment. Officers were directed to maintain heightened vigilance, particularly in sensitive areas, to counter any potential threats to peace and stability in the district.
