KVIC organises SDTPs across J&K on Gandhi Jayanti

Srinagar, October 02 (KIP)- To mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, celebrated on 2nd October, multiple Skill Development Training Programmes (SDTPs) were held by KVIC across various districts of Jammu & Kashmir today.
The events were held in presence of Director, KVIC, J&K and Ladakh, Rajesh Kumar, and Principal, PMTC KVIC, Pampore, Anil Kumar Sharma.
The programme commenced with floral garlanding ceremony to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the Khadi Pledge, taken as part of the ongoing Khadi Mahotsav being celebrated from September 17th to October 23rd, 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Kumar Sharma briefed the attendees about the various skill development training programmes being conducted across different districts of J&K. He emphasized the importance of skill-building in empowering youth and promoting self-employment.
Addressing the gathering, Director, KVIC, Rajesh Kumar, expressed his deep gratitude towards Mahatma Gandhi for his enduring legacy. He encouraged all participants to stay motivated and continue learning new skills, which are crucial for personal growth and national development.
Several participants also shared their experiences, explaining how the training programmes have helped them acquire valuable skills and opened new avenues for livelihood and entrepreneurship.
