Leh, November 18 (KIP)-Under the ongoing “Mimang-Si-sJabstogs” (Administration at Your Doorstep) initiative, the District Administration Leh today organised a public outreach camp at Changchk Community Hall, Phyang, to provide doorstep access to essential government services and welfare schemes.
With today’s programme, the District Administration has successfully covered nearly half of the targeted villages under the series of outreach camps being held across Leh district from November 10 to 25, 2025. The remaining villages will be covered in the coming days as part of the Administration’s continued efforts to ensure that government services reach every household efficiently and without delay.

The camp was attended by Nodal Officer Sh. Syed Mohammad (SE, PHE Leh), along with officers and officials from various government departments. In his remarks, the Nodal Officer welcomed the villagers and officials, stating that the initiative aims to “bridge the gap between the public and the administration by delivering services at their doorstep and addressing local concerns promptly and effectively.”

Officers from the Health, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Education, Revenue, Fisheries, Rural Development, Social Welfare, and ICDS departments briefed the public about various schemes, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the benefits available under their respective sectors. They encouraged residents to take full advantage of the services offered through the outreach platform.

During the programme, several local issues and demands were raised by the community, including the redevelopment of agricultural land damaged during the 2006 and 2010 floods and the provision of safe drinking water for Tsakma Gongpa.
The Ex-Servicemen Chhoskul Society, Phyang, submitted a memorandum highlighting welfare-related concerns of its 150 members and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the well-being of ex-servicemen and their families.
The Goba of Phyang, Tsawang Nurbu, also submitted a memorandum to the Nodal Officer, raising issues such as the completion of pending works, development of tractor roads, repair of the community hall, construction of protective walling along main roads, blacktopping of link roads, and other essential village infrastructure needs.

As part of the health services provided during the outreach, the Medical Department conducted BP and sugar check-ups, screened around 50 individuals for non-communicable diseases, generated 3 ABHA IDs, and facilitated the issuance of 32 Aadhaar cards for local residents.
From the banking sector, details were shared regarding the MoneyWise Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) a programme implemented by the CRISIL Foundation in collaboration with J&K Bank and SBI, under the aegis of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), RBI, and NABARD’s Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF), aimed at strengthening financial awareness across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Responding to the concerns raised, Nodal Officer Sh. Syed Mohammad assured the public that all issues, demands, and memorandums received during the camp would be forwarded to the higher authorities for timely and appropriate action.
