AJKSGRDS organizes Mega Multispecialty Medical Camp to mark Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas

Jammu, December 07 (KIP)- The Jammu & Kashmir Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha (AJKSGRDS) organized a Mega Multispecialty Medical Camp on Sunday at Krishna Nagar Gurudwara to commemorate the 69th death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, observed on 6th December.
The camp was held in collaboration with Divya International Foundation J&K and the Devinder Kour Charitable Trust, offering free medical services, essential tests, and medicines to the public.
A team of experienced doctors from Government Medical Colleges (GMCs), AIIMS, and multiple specialties—including Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Pediatrics, and Dentistry—provided expert consultations.
Comprehensive vision screenings were conducted, and spectacles were prescribed where necessary. Patients needing advanced medical care were referred to GMCs or AIIMS for further treatment.
The camp was supervised by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Bhasin, with medical support from Dr. Ashwani Thappa, Dr. Bias Dev, Dr. Anuradha, Dr. Ravi Bharti, Dr. Deepak Bhagat, Dr. Manish Atri, Dr. Ankush Banotra, Dr. Abhimanyu Kainth, Dr. Anil Thapa, among others.
Chief Guest Amit Bhasin, SSP Traffic, lauded the initiative, emphasizing its importance in serving the needy and strengthening community welfare. KVIC Director Rajesh Kumar also appreciated the organizers, noting that the camp benefited more than 400 patients.
Several prominent personalities—including C.L. Banal, Prof. G.L. Thapa, Prof. C.L. Shivgotra, Er. Joginder Pal, T.C. Bavouria, and Surjeet Heer—were present at the press briefing.
The event served as a meaningful platform combining healthcare, social responsibility, and community service.
