Director Agriculture Jammu Chairs Review Meeting to Assess Progress under various Schemes

Jammu, December 12 (KIP)- A comprehensive review meeting was today held under the chairmanship of the Director Agriculture Jammu, Sh. Anil Gupta, to evaluate the physical and financial progress achieved under CSS, CAPEX, HADP, and NABARD.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (SLUB/Farms) Sh. Aman Jyoti Sharma, Deputy Director Planning Sh. Yaqoob Zargar, CAO Jammu Sh. Manohar Lal Sharma, DAO Jammu Sh. Vinod Khajuria, Technical Officer HADP (DoAJ) Sh. Raj Kumar, along with senior officers and staff of the Directorate. The Chief Agriculture Officers (CAOs) also participated through video conference.
During the review, Director Agriculture issued clear directions to all concerned officers to submit the latest and updated Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) to the Directorate at the earliest. He instructed the CAOs to expedite all ongoing works under PDMC, ensuring their timely completion. He also emphasized the need for prompt submission of Utilization Certificates (UCs) and called for faster achievement of MIDH targets.
Sh. Anil Gupta stressed that all scheme-related targets must be completed before December 31, 2025, without any lapses. He further directed that the works sanctioned under NABARD be completed on priority with close coordination between the executing agencies.
Reviewing the progress under PMFBY, the Director Agriculture instructed all CAOs to accelerate the registration of farmers for Rabi season 2025–26. He highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts between field functionaries and insurance companies to enhance farmer awareness at the village level, ensuring that a maximum number of eligible farmers are covered under the scheme.
