Haj Committee Ladakh Holds Hajj 2025 Feedback Programme in Kargil

Kargil, December 12 (KIP)- The Haj Committee Ladakh organised a Hajj Feedback Programme for the Hajis of 2025 today at the Conference Hall Baroo, Kargil. The event was aimed at reviewing the facilities and services provided to pilgrims during this year’s Holy Haj pilgrimage.

The meeting was attended by Member Haj Committee Ladakh, Mohd Ali Chandan and Member Haj Committee, Zaheer Hussain Babar, along with a large number of Hajis who had returned from the pilgrimage.

Hajis, while sharing their feedback, expressed deep gratitude to the Government of India for providing excellent facilities during the Haj rituals. They especially thanked Haji Ali Majaz, Chairperson Haj Committee Ladakh, for his committed efforts in ensuring smooth arrangements for Ladakhi pilgrims.

The Hajis reiterated the long-pending public demand for the construction of a Haj House in Kargil and the establishment of a Passport Seva Kendra, both crucial for easing travel and documentation challenges faced by the people of Kargil. They emphasized that the Hajj Inspector must be well-versed in the rituals of Haj and recommended involving religious scholars or individuals who have previously performed Haj.

While acknowledging that overall arrangements — including hotels and other amenities — were satisfactory, the participants suggested that further improvements could enhance the pilgrimage experience. They also extended their thanks to Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, for ensuring smooth Haj arrangements despite last year’s Indo-Pak tensions and for facilitating special flights during critical times.

Hajis also suggested increasing the number of doctors and paramedical staff designated for Ladakhi pilgrims to strengthen medical support.

A detailed feedback form was distributed, covering a wide range of services including: Embarkation point, Madina accommodation, Madina–Makkah bus services, Aziziyah accommodation, Transport facilities between Aziziyah, Haram and Mina, Mina and Arafat tent services, Muzdalifah night stay, Jamarat movement and return arrangements, SHI services, Mobile and internet connectivity, and Medical services across all locations.


Chairperson Haji Ali Majaz thanked the Hajis for their valuable feedback and assured them that their suggestions would be taken into account to further improve services. He noted that the Haj Suvidha App was helpful but required upgrades, especially for users unfamiliar with smartphones.

He informed the gathering that the proposal for constructing a Haj House in Kargil has already been initiated, with the land allotment file under process and subsequent steps to begin following approval from LAHDC Kargil.

He added that the Passport Seva Kendra for Kargil has been approved, and the first floor of the Post Office Kargil has been identified as its location, with operations expected to begin by May next year.

Haji Ali Majaz also highlighted that almost every month in 2025, passport camps were organized in Kargil by RPO Srinagar, benefitting thousands of residents of the district.
