30/12/2025

Kottayam,December 30 (KIP)- Under the leadership of the World Peace Mission, the Global Peace Parliament will be held in Kottayam on January 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Caesar Palace Conference Hall, Nagampadam. Representatives from five continents will participate in the event.

January 9 also marks the 31st anniversary of the World Peace Mission, which has representation in 54 countries worldwide.

For the past 30 years, the World Peace Mission has been working in conflict-ridden and distressed regions across the globe—addressing hunger, restoring lives through education, and advancing humanitarian relief. Its compassionate initiatives are widely respected internationally. In Kerala as well, the Mission’s activities have been highly active. During the great floods, the organization provided food kits, household essentials, medical assistance, and shelter across various parts of Kuttanad; during the COVID-19 pandemic, it stood at the forefront to support people in distress—contributions that remain unforgettable. Over nearly four decades, more than 30,000 families have been guided toward peaceful living through family counseling, offered selflessly and without expectation of return.

Notably, the organization distributes daily meals to over 56,000 people in Africa and India, and plays a vital global role in resolving social issues and disputes peacefully—without inflicting harm—by pointing the way toward reconciliation and peace.

Promoting the vision “One Heart, One World,” the World Peace Mission conducts interfaith dialogues, seminars, and charity initiatives under the banner “Food, Knowledge, and Dignity.” Its work also includes value-based global education programs, medical camps, palliative care, cancer and kidney treatment support, women’s empowerment initiatives, eco-education, modern media activities using advanced technology, campaigns against social evils, and the Peace Garden shelter for the elderly and abandoned. Across Africa, the Mission has built over 200 houses, and in India it continues to construct homes for widows and underprivileged women—10 houses have already been completed.

The Peace Parliament, commencing on January 9, 2026, will be led by the founder and chairman of the World Peace Mission and renowned music director Dr. Sunny Stephen.
