Rana inaugurates community langar at Bahu Fort Jammu

Jammu, January 03 (KIP)- Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today inaugurated a Community Langar at the historic Bahu Fort, Jammu.

On the occasion, the Minister interacted with the visitors and the devotees visiting Bahu Fort and the adjoining revered Kali Mata Temple.

He extended greetings to the visitors and enquired about the facilities being provided to them, emphasizing the importance of ensuring comfort, cleanliness and accessibility for all devotees.

The Minister also undertook a detailed tour of the fort and temple premises along with yatris and concerned officials to assess the existing civic amenities and infrastructure available for the pilgrims. He reviewed the arrangements related to sanitation, drinking water supply and general upkeep of the premises.

During the visit, Rana stressed the need for systematic beautification of the Bahu Fort area besides creation of enhanced civic amenities to improve the overall experience of the tourists.

He stated that issues pertaining to infrastructure development, sanitation, drinking water facilities and aesthetic enhancement would be taken with the concerned departments to ensure timely and effective implementation.

The Minister reiterated that sustained and focused efforts would be made to develop Bahu Fort as a major religious tourism destination in Jammu, while carefully preserving its rich cultural, historical and religious heritage.

The Minister was accompanied by the Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, concerned Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineer besides other senior officers.
