BJP holds meeting of national and state council members to discuss national president election

Jammu, January 17 (KIP)-The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a crucial meeting of BJP National Council members and State Council members at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to deliberate on the upcoming voting process for the election of the BJP National President. The meeting was organized as part of the ongoing organizational elections being conducted across the country under the banner of “Sangathan Parv”.

Jammu and Kashmir BJP President and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Sat Sharma CA, along with BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, attended and addressed the meeting. The session was coordinated by BJP Vice-President Rakesh Mahajan.

Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma emphasized that the BJP stands apart from other political parties due to its strong internal democratic structure. He said that the election of the National President is not a symbolic exercise but a well-defined, transparent, and participatory process in which party workers from the grassroots to the national level play an active role. He highlighted that the entire organizational election process has been carried out systematically, beginning from the primary membership drive, reflecting the party’s commitment to discipline, inclusiveness, and democratic values.

Ashok Koul, in his address, elaborated on the significance of “Sangathan Parv,” stating that it is a festival of organization that strengthens the BJP’s internal structure. He said that every level of the organization, from booth committees to state and national councils, has been involved in the process, ensuring that leadership emerges through collective consent and dedication to the party ideology.

The meeting was attended by BJP Vice-President & DDC Chairperson Bharat Bhushan, Vice-Presidents Rajiv Charak and Rakesh Mahajan, General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, DDC Chairpersons Keshav Dutt Sharma, Col Maan Singh, and Saraf Singh Nag, MLAs Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Yudhvir Sethi, Balwant Mankotia, and Mohan Lal Bhagat, and other senior leaders.
