Chief Secretary reviews implementation of flagship schemes in UT Ladakh

Leh, January 29 (KIP)-The Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Shri Ashish Kundra, today chaired a review meeting to assess the status of implementation of various flagship schemes being executed across UT-Ladakh.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary took a comprehensive review of key departmental schemes, including Samagra Shiksha and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0. Detailed discussions were held on enrolment trends, training progress, assessment processes, and certification outcomes under these skill development initiatives.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of new ITI upgradation schemes under PM-SETU, with a focus on the status of the Expression of Interest (EOI), implementation challenges, and timelines. In addition, issues related to the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) were discussed, with emphasis on addressing bottlenecks and ensuring the timely delivery of benefits to the intended beneficiaries.
Further deliberations were held on the implementation status of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), including its operational modalities and challenges. The Chief Secretary also reviewed pending issues under the National Health Mission (NHM), the nutritional indicators under POSHAN Abhiyan, progress of Saksham Anganwadi initiatives, and the status of works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
The meeting additionally covered key aspects of PM Vishwakarma, focusing on implementation considerations for supporting traditional artisans and craftspeople, as well as the progress and outreach under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
The Chief Secretary emphasised the need for effective inter-departmental coordination, regular monitoring, and timely resolution of issues to ensure optimal outcomes of these flagship schemes for the people of Ladakh.
