Div Com reviews Developmental Progress,Urges Coordinated Governance in Zanskar

Zanskar, May 30(KIP)-The Divisional Commissioner, Ladakh, Shri Shurbir Singh, IAS, visited Zanskar and chaired a comprehensive review meeting with district officers at the Tourist Dak Bungalow Hall, Padum.

During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed the progress and functioning of various departments and emphasized the timely implementation of developmental projects and public welfare schemes.

The key points discussed during the meeting included:

Revenue Department: Review of land records, revenue administration, and related public services.

Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department: Status and progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and drinking water supply schemes in the district.

Public Works Department (PWD): Progress of ongoing construction works, road connectivity projects, and infrastructure development.

Education Department: The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Zanskar briefed the Divisional Commissioner on the overall educational scenario, implementation of various educational initiatives, school infrastructure, and academic activities across the zone.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Zanskar, Shri Omkar Rajendra Gundage, IAS; Superintendent of Police Zanskar, Shri Rigzin Sandup, JKPS; Tehsildar Zanskar, Shri Mohd Hassan, along with other senior district officers and departmental heads.

The Divisional Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the district administration and directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure effective service delivery and the overall development of Zanskar district.
