Jammu/Srinagar, July 08 (KIP)-With the academic session underway and undergraduate admissions progressing across the country, students from Jammu & Kashmir have expressed concern over the delay in the announcement of fresh registrations under the Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS).
A student, speaking on behalf of PMSSS aspirants, appealed to the media and concerned authorities to address the growing uncertainty surrounding the scheme.
"It is already July, and the fresh registration for PMSSS has not yet been announced, leaving students uncertain about their undergraduate admissions and future academic plans," the student said.
The aspirants have urged the authorities to either release the PMSSS registration schedule at the earliest or issue an official clarification regarding the status of the scheme, including whether fresh registrations will be opened this year.
Students said that the prolonged silence has created anxiety among those who are dependent on the scholarship scheme to pursue higher education outside the Union Territory. They emphasized that timely information would enable them to make informed decisions regarding admissions and avoid unnecessary confusion.
Appealing to the media, the students requested that the issue be highlighted so that it reaches the concerned authorities and an official response is provided at the earliest.
The PMSSS aspirants expressed hope that the authorities would soon clarify the position on fresh registrations, allowing students to plan their academic future with certainty.
