BJP serves defamation notice on Omar Abdullah, seeks public apology or 100-Crore legal action

Jammu, July 13 (KIP)-Bharatiya Janata Party J&K, through its President and MP Rajya Sabha Sat Paul Sharma, has issued a legal notice for defamation to Omar Abdullah, CM UT of J&K.
The legal notice has been issued through advocate Parimoksh Seth on instructions of Bharatiya Janata Party through Sat Paul Sharma, which has called upon Omar Abdullah to issue an unconditional public apology in writing within 7 days for making false, baseless, and defamatory allegations against the BJP on 11th July 2026.
It has been mentioned in the legal notice that Omar Abdullah has deliberately and intentionally made false allegations to tarnish the image of the BJP IN THE EYES OF PUBLIC.
Omar Abdullah has been called upon to issue an unconditional apology in writing within 7 days, failing which BJP will file a criminal defamation case and civil defamation case for damages to the tune of Rs 100 Crores.
