BJP Spokespersons Deliberate on the Transformative Impact of the Abrogation of Articles 370 & 35A

Srinagar, August 05 (KIP)-A significant virtual meeting of BJP spokespersons and Media Department from Kashmir was held today under the chairmanship of BJP J&K Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi. All spokespersons from the Kashmir region joined the meeting virtually to commemorate the historic constitutional decision of 5 August 2019 and deliberate on its long-term impact on Jammu & Kashmir.
During the meeting, an in-depth discussion was held on the significance of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, which the spokespersons described as a landmark decision that strengthened India's unity and ensured the complete constitutional integration of Jammu & Kashmir with the rest of the country.
The spokespersons reviewed the situation that existed prior to the abrogation and contrasted it with the progress achieved over the past several years.
They observed that while Jammu & Kashmir had long remained constrained by separatist politics, limited investment, discriminatory constitutional provisions and governance challenges, the post-2019 period has witnessed unprecedented progress across multiple sectors.
The meeting highlighted the visible improvements in infrastructure, road and rail connectivity, healthcare, education, tourism, grassroots democracy, transparent governance, public service delivery and the effective implementation of Central Government welfare schemes. It was noted that equal constitutional rights, greater opportunities for youth, women and marginalized communities, and a renewed investment climate have contributed significantly to the Union Territory's development.
The spokespersons reaffirmed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has always remained committed to the vision of "One Nation, One Constitution", and that the historic decision of 5 August 2019 fulfilled a long-standing national commitment while laying the foundation for peace, stability, inclusive growth and equal opportunities for every citizen of Jammu & Kashmir.
The virtual meeting concluded with the spokespersons expressing their gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party for their visionary leadership and decisive action in the national interest. They reiterated the party's commitment to continue working for the progress, prosperity and empowerment of the people of Jammu & Kashmir while further strengthening the ideals of national unity and constitutional equality.
