SIDCO signs additional ₹20 Crore Government Revolving Guarantee

Leh, August 17 (KIP)-In a significant step towards strengthening financial inclusion and promoting self-employment among minority communities in Ladakh, the Sindhu Infrastructure Development Corporation (SIDCO) signed an additional Government Revolving Guarantee of ₹20 crore with the National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC) at the UT Secretariat, Leh, today.
The agreement was signed by Administrative Secretary Himanshu Gupta, Managing Director, SIDCO Ladakh, in the presence of Smt. Abha Rani Singh, IRS, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NMDFC, along with senior officers of NMDFC, SIDCO and the UT Administration.
The additional guarantee will enable SIDCO to expand the implementation of NMDFC-sponsored financial assistance schemes, providing concessional and interest-subsidised loans to eligible beneficiaries from minority communities for self-employment and income-generating activities.
The financial assistance will support sectors including transport and commercial vehicles, tourism, agriculture and allied activities, services, small businesses and education. The initiative is aimed at improving access to institutional credit, promoting entrepreneurship and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for beneficiaries across Ladakh.
The collaboration reflects the commitment of the UT Administration, SIDCO and NMDFC towards inclusive economic development and strengthening the socio-economic well-being of minority communities in the Union Territory.
