Congress not join cabinet, till statehood restored- Karra

Reasi, August 27 (KIP)-JKPCC President Shri Tariq Hameed Karra has put to rest speculations of Congress joining the Omar led cabinet in UT ,stating that Congress had taken a prinncpled stand not to join the government till the statehood is restored and its stand is unchanged.
Taking to reporters after addressing a. Impressive joining programme here today by District Congress Committee Reasi, Karra said that Congress can't climb down from it's principled stand of restoration of statehood and other constitutional rights, taken away from people in order to join the government but quickly added that anytime BJP tries to disturb the stability of NC government, INC will always be there.
He said that Congress support to the NC government doesn't mean that it will remain silent on the issues of governance and fulfilling the ommitments to the people by the government. On the issue of power hike,Congress has already opposed burdening the common man who is already suffering,rather he demanded that government should come out with a comprehensive amnesty scheme for power to give relaxations to the common man.
A number of new members also joined the Congress family, expressing their faith in the ideology, policies and leadership of the Indian National Congress.

Satya Parmar, Senior Congress Leaders,Shri Vijyant Pathania and Adv. Vijay Sharma, District Spokesperson, besides other leaders and workers.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. Raman Bhalla emphasised the need to further strengthen the Congress organisation at the grassroots level and called upon party workers to remain connected with the people and work for their welfare. He stressed the importance of unity, discipline and collective efforts in strengthening the organisation in Jammu & Kashmir.
Former MP Ch Lal Singh welcomed the new entrants especially the younger generation into party and said that people have realised the anti people and anti youth policies of BJP government. The Modi government us pro rich and the local population getting deprived of their local trades for livelihoods.
Former minister Jugal Kishore Sharma and other senior leaders also addressed the gathering.
Adv. Ajay Salalia, President DCC Reasi, welcomed the JKPCC President and all senior leaders and expressed gratitude to the party leadership and workers for making the programme successful. He said that DCC Reasi would continue to work with dedication towards strengthening the Congress organisation and addressing the issues of the people.
The programme concluded with a call to all Congress workers to remain united and actively work for the welfare of society and strengthening of the Congress .
