Two-Day Drass Festival Concludes at the iconic Manman Top View Point in Lamochan

Drass, September 06 (KIP)- The two-day Drass Festival (organized under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan) concluded today on a vibrant and celebratory note at the picturesque Manman Top View Point in Lamochan showcasing the rich cultural heritage, traditions and artistic diversity of Drass.
The concluding event witnessed a colourful series of cultural performances that captivated the gathering. The Army Band added grandeur to the occasion while singers, local artists and cultural groups presented diverse performances reflecting the unique traditions and cultural identity of the region.
A large number of residents, particularly youth from different parts of Drass, enthusiastically participated in the festival making the concluding ceremony lively and memorable. The festival provided an important platform for local artists and performers to showcase their talent while strengthening community participation and promoting the cultural heritage of Drass.
As the concluding ceremony coincided with Teachers’ Day, special emphasis was laid on recognizing the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the future of society. Teachers were appreciated and encouraged for their dedicated services in educating, guiding and inspiring younger generations.
The programme also highlighted the message of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, spreading awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and emphasizing the importance of a healthy, responsible and drug-free society, particularly among the youth.
The two-day festival successfully brought together culture, music, public participation and social awareness against the spectacular backdrop of Manman Top. It also served as an opportunity to promote the cultural and tourism potential of Drass and celebrate the region’s diverse traditions.
With a series of cultural performances and enthusiastic participation from the public, the two-day Drass Festival formally concluded at Manman Top View Point in Lamochan leaving behind a strong message of cultural pride, unity, youth engagement and social responsibility.
The concluding ceremony was graced by various Officers and teachers including the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, the LAHDC Councillors of Bhimbat and Drass, Army officers apart from senior citizens and youth of the District.
