Vikram Randhawa holds public grievances camp at BJP headquarters

Jammu, September 16 (KIP)-J&K BJP senior leader and MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa held a public grievance camp at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and listened to the issues and demands raised by people from different areas.
J&K BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Convenor Er. Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Co-convenor Er. T.K. Sharma accompanied the MLA and assisted in coordinating the proceedings.
Deputations from Nanak Nagar Sector-6, Extension Trikuta Nagar, Vijay Nagar Talab Tillo and Bawe sought construction and improvement of lanes and drains in their respective areas. A deputation from Sanjay Nagar demanded replacement of worn-out electric wires in Sector 4. Residents from Trikuta Nagar Sector-9, Sunjawan and Extension Sainik Colony near Heritage School raised issues related to repair and replacement of non-functional streetlights.
A deputation from Janipur Colony sought repair of an electric transformer, while residents from Nanak Nagar requested installation of iron gratings over open drains. Deputations from Gandhi Nagar, Sanjay Nagar and Preet Nagar apprised the MLA about drinking water scarcity in their areas. Residents of Rajiv Nagar raised the issue of encroachment on a nallah, while a deputation from Sunjawan sought installation of additional electric poles.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa said that public representatives must remain accessible to citizens and ensure that genuine local concerns are taken up with the concerned departments. He said that issues related to roads, drainage, electricity, drinking water, streetlights and sanitation directly affect the daily lives of people and therefore require sustained follow-up rather than temporary attention.
Randhawa said that the concerns raised by the deputations would be taken up with the concerned authorities for necessary examination and action as per the applicable rules and procedures. He also emphasized that nallahs and drainage channels should remain free from obstruction and encroachment, particularly in view of the risks associated with waterlogging and heavy rainfall.
Er. Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal said that the grievance camp provided an opportunity to the people to share their issues. He added that at the same time it lets the party to understand their issues at the ground level and take them up systematically with the concerned departments.
