29/10/2026

Sunderbani , October 29 (KIP)-JKPCC Chief Spokesperson and former MLC Mr Ravinder Sharma has expressed deep concern over certain Unnecessary conditions for grant of land rights to the POJK Displaced families allottees of Evacuees lands.

Reacting to the problems expressed by the refugees/DPs of 1947 from POJK who are in occupation of Evacuees land alloted to them under cabinet order -578-C of 1954 and were conferred with Mutations as Occupancy Tenants rights under section 3-A of Agrarian Reforms ACt,1976, are now being asked to again fulfill all the requirements for fresh rights including the records of 1947.

These families are settled since fifties and in cultivation possession of their alloted land and enjoying rights under 3/A ARA but being asked to complete all requirements of Form - A of 1947,allotment record and Register cancellation etc before conferment of the proposed rights over their lands held vy them.
It is sheer harassment with the third generation of refugees/POJK DPs,whose present generation has limited old documents and the old records have been destroyed for various reasons, after flux of lot of time.
The government should confer the fresh rights upon the allottees of land without seeking further documents.

He urged the Minister Incharge revenue to in invite all prominent leaders of refugees/DPs of 1947 to settle the issues faced by the displaced community.
