Educational Institutions observe World AIDS prevention Day across Jammu Division

Jammu,December 01 (KIP)-Educational and Professional Institutions across Jammu Division organized a series of impact awareness activities on Monday to observe World AIDS prevention Day.

The events sensitized students about the importance of prevention, ending stigma and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The Red Ribbon Club of Government ITI Kathua organized a series of engaging events on the campus. The day began with a solemn pledge by staff and trainees to work towards an AIDS-free society.

A Poster Making Competition followed, where students displayed their creativity and understanding of this years’ theme, "Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response." A spirited Debate Competition was also conducted on the topic: "Role of Youth in Eradicating HIV/AIDS Stigma in Society."

Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Doda organized an impactful programme to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS, eliminate stigma, and encourage preventive and responsible behaviour among the youth.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 100 students across all trades, reflecting their commitment to social awareness and community well-being. Students took part in debate Competition on the theme “Let Communities Lead,” presenting powerful and thought-provoking talks.

Drawing/Painting Competition, highlighting the importance of awareness, compassion, prevention, and solidarity in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Government ITI Udhampur: The Red Ribbon Club of Government ITI Udhampur in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir AIDS Control Society, Department of Health and Medical Education and the Department of Skill Development organized a special program to mark World AIDS Day.

The event concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to continue spreading awareness, uphold dignity and work towards a society free from prejudice and misinformation.
