IRP 1st Battalion Conducts Cleanliness Drive and Awareness Program at Bhimgarh FortReasi

Reasi, April 18 (Scoop News)-In observance of World Heritage Day, the IRP 1st Battalion undertook a comprehensive cleanliness drive and awareness programme at the historic Bhimgarh Fort in Reasi. This initiative was carried out under the close supervision and guidance of the Commandant, IRP 1st Battalion, reflecting a steadfast commitment to cleanliness, heritage preservation, and community engagement.

As part of the drive, the surroundings of Bhimgarh Fort were thoroughly cleaned and groomed. Unwanted bushes and weeds were removed, defaced walls were whitewashed, and damaged windows were re-fixed and further secured with welded grills. These measures not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the site but also contributed to its safety and preservation.

The personnel of the battalion displayed remarkable dedication and teamwork throughout the operation, significantly contributing to the restoration and beautification of the fort premises. Their active participation highlighted the core values of public service, cultural pride, and civic responsibility.

To mark the significance of World Heritage Day, a brief awareness programme was also organized at the fort. The session focused on the importance of conserving heritage monuments and fostering a collective sense of responsibility towards safeguarding our cultural legacy.
