BJP J&K holds review meeting amid heightened cross-border tensions

Jammu, May 10 (KIP)-Amidst the escalating cross-border hostilities, including heavy shelling, drone incursions, and missile attacks from Pakistan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir unit, convened a review meeting at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Aseem Gupta, Vice-President, J&K BJP, besides other leaders were present in the meeting.

In his address, Sat Sharma expressed grave concern over the continued irrational aggression by Pakistan, which has caused distress in several districts of Jammu & Kashmir.

Sharma highlighted the tense situation due to relentless shelling, firing, drone and missile attacks from across the border, which resulted in casualties, injuries, and damage to property and migration. "Our leadership and cadre must remain vigilant, assist the administration, and dedicate themselves to serving the nation during these critical times," he said.

Reviewing the necessary arrangements and preparations to counter the tense situation, Sat Sharma stressed on a pro-active role to be played by the BJP leadership along with the whole party cadre.

Sunil Sharma stressed the increased attentiveness and activism on the part of party cadre. He also stressed on the coordination with the administration as a consistent phenomenon during this time.

Ashok Koul highlighted various areas like border migration, help to the needy, incoming and outgoing of people to and from Jammu, blood requirement, medicines, eatables, and other areas which require individual attention.

Kavinder Gupta asked all to remain vigilant about the misinformation campaigns that are being initiated from across the borders. He asked the party leaders to create awareness among general masses to thwart any such attempt.

Tilak Raj Gupta, Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra, Ved Sharma, Puneet Mahajan and others were also present on the occasion.
