RPHQ Srinagar organized seminar, commemorating 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Srinagar, July 11 (KIP)-To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, RPHQ Srinagar in collaboration with Central University of Kashmir organized a Speech Competition (Seminar) at Conference Hall PEB-1, Central University of Kashmir (Main Campus Tullmulah Ganderbal).

The event themed “Strong Leadership in Modern India-Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Legacy’ aimed to engage students in meaningful reflections on the values of unity, discipline, courage and leadership embodied by the ‘Iron Man of India’. Students from various departments of the university participated with great enthusiasm presenting thought provoking speeches in English, Urdu and Hindi.

In his message, DIG CKR Srinagar Shri Rajiv Pandey-IPS conveyed, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was not only the architect of national integration but also a firm believer in administrative efficiency and public order. For law enforcement agencies his legacy is a blueprint of discipline and dedication”.

The speech competition was graced by Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir, Chief Proctor & Dean Legal Studies CUK, as the Chief Guest. In his address Prof. Mir emphasized the enduring relevance of Sardar Patel’s vision, stating Sardar Patel’s contribution to national integration stands unmatched. His ideas are not just historical references but guiding principles for our youth. The event was also graced by Prof. Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, Dean School of Education, CUK, Prof. Sandhiya Tiwari, Dean Languages & International Affairs, Chairperson ICC, Prof. Irfan Alam, Dean Students Welfare CUK, Prof. Firdous Ahmad Sofal & Mr. Peer Zahoor-SP, Staff Officer to DIG CKR Srinagar as Guests of Honour. All the guests delivered remarkable speeches and highlighted Sardar Patel’s determination, administrative acumen and deep commitment to national unity. This event is a significant step towards patriotic citizenship.

Mr. Peer Zahoor, SP, Staff Officer to DIG CKR Srinagar praised the initiative and added that engaging youth with the legacy of national leaders promotes a sense of identity, awareness and national character. Notable attendees at the event include DySP Mohammad Shafi, (ADO) CKR, DySP Showkat Ahmad, Pvt. Secretary to DIG CKR, Inspr. Sajad Ahmad, Inspr. Rifat Jan, Inspr. Irfan Nazir and Mr Fayaz Ahmed of RPHQ CKR.

Prize money was distributed among the top performers and certificate of participation was also distributed to all other participants, followed by vote of thanks by the Chief Guest.
