Police conducts raids/searches across district in action against banned JeI in Kulgam

Srinagar, November 27 (KIP)- Police in Budgam launched various searches and raids at the residences and Institutes linked to JEI. Searches were carried out based on credible intelligence that some JEI members are engaged in anti-national activities.
Multiple searches carried out in Chadoora, Soibugh and Beerwah area. Searches were conducted by following due procedure of law. The search team was comprising of Police officers, lady police teams, local numberdars. Various electronic devices along with documents were seized from the houses of JeI linked members and institutes.
The operation was conducted to dismantle the terror ecosystem and separatist propaganda of proscribed organisation Jamat E Islami. Through such operations Police reaffirms its commitment to establish and ensure peace and terror free environment in district.

Police in Kulgam carried out meticulously coordinated searches at multiple locations across the district, targeting individuals and premises linked with the banned organisation Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), proscribed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
During search, a significant quantity of electronic gadgets, literature and documents suspected to have relevance to ongoing investigations have been recovered. All recovered materials have been seized on the spot and taken into custody for detailed scrutiny.
