The DGPC urged the authorities not to allow the screening of the film across Jammu province until the objectionable scenes are removed, emphasising that such content has the potential to disturb communal harmony and create unrest.

A delegation of DGPC members personally met the Divisional Commissioner and apprised him of the seriousness of the issue. They highlighted that despite repeated objections in similar cases in the past, such insensitive portrayals continue to surface, causing deep anguish among the community. The memorandum clearly conveyed the sentiments of the Sikh community and called for swift administrative action to prevent any escalation of tensions.

The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that appropriate directions would be issued, keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter and the need to safeguard religious sentiments. The committee expressed hope that the administration will act promptly and responsibly in addressing the issue.

In this context, the DGPC also urged the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Amritsar, to take up the matter legally so as to ensure accountability and prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future. At the same time, serious concerns were raised regarding the role of the censor board in granting clearance to such content, underscoring the need for a more responsible and sensitive approach while certifying films.
