CM Omar Abdullah greets people on Mahavir Jayanti
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, wishing them happiness, peace and prosperity.
In his message, the Chief Minister said that Jammu and Kashmir has a rich legacy of celebrating festivals and sacred occasions in an atmosphere of unity and harmony.
He called upon the people to further strengthen this cherished tradition, adding that such occasions offer an opportunity to deepen mutual bonds of love, reinforce communal harmony and promote brotherhood across society.
Omar Abdullah prayed for sustained peace, prosperity and progress of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.
Deputy Chief Minister extends Mahavir Jayanti greetings
Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, today extended his warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
He said that the festival holds immense religious and cultural significance, especially for the Jain community, and is celebrated with deep devotion to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira.
The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the timeless teachings of Lord Mahavira, emphasizing non-violence, compassion, truth, and peaceful coexistence as guiding principles for a harmonious society.
