District Level Committee Meeting on PMMSY Held at DC Office Kargil

Kargil, May 26 (KIP )- A District Level Committee Meeting regarding the selection and approval of units under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil at his office chamber.
During the meeting, the committee discussed various proposals and reviewed the units identified by the Fisheries Department for approval under the PMMSY scheme. The meeting focused on promoting fisheries-related activities and strengthening livelihood opportunities in the district through effective implementation of the scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of encouraging self-employment opportunities through fisheries and allied sectors and stressed coordinated efforts among departments for successful implementation of the scheme at the grassroots level.
The meeting was attended by officers from various concerned departments including Agriculture, I&FC, PHE, Fisheries Department, Lead District Manager, KVK Kargil and other stakeholders.
