Orientation Programme on Artificial Intelligence Conducted for PM Vishwakarma Beneficiaries at DIC Leh

Leh, May 29 (KIP)- The Department of Industries & Commerce, UT Ladakh, in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, conducted an Orientation Programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI): Basics of AI and its Applications for PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries at DIC Leh under the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
Around 60 artisans participated in the session, which aimed to introduce traditional craftsmen and beneficiaries to the growing role of artificial intelligence in business development and entrepreneurship.
During the programme, participants were introduced to practical applications of AI in areas such as product design generation, product description writing, market research, branding, customer communication and social media promotion.
Hands-on training sessions were also conducted to help artisans understand the practical use of AI tools in enhancing and expanding their businesses.
The programme highlighted the importance of digital awareness and innovation in empowering artisans and improving market outreach for traditional products.
The initiative reflects the continued efforts of the Department of Industries & Commerce towards equipping local artisans with modern digital tools and technology for sustainable business growth and self-reliance.
