DLSA Kargil, Forest Division Conduct Plantation Drive at Court Complex to Boost Green Cover

Kargil, June 04 (KIP)- The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kargil, in collaboration with the Forest Division Kargil, organised a plantation drive at the District Court Complex, Kurbathang, today. The drive aimed to promote environmental awareness and enhance green cover.

Present on the occasion were Principal and Sessions Judge, Kargil, Sheikh Gowhar Hussain; Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kargil, Tsewang Phuntsog; Secretary, DLSA, Chemit Yurgyal; Munsif, Sankoo, Sadiq Ali Wazir, along with advocates and other staff of the District Court, Kargil.

The event was inaugurated by the Principal and Sessions Judge, Kargil, who planted the first sapling on the court lawns. Over 40 saplings of various tree species were planted during the drive. Judicial officers, advocates, court staff, and forest officials actively participated in the initiative. This plantation drive is a campaign being carried out since last year to plant more trees and raising public awareness about their benefits and preserving local biodiversity.
