DC Kargil Visits PM SHRI Government High School Karith and Government School Tacha

Kargil, June 14 (KIP)- Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar (IAS), today conducted inspection visits to PM SHRI Government High School Karith and Government School Tacha to review academic performance, infrastructure, and overall functioning of the institutions.

At PM SHRI Government Middle School Karith, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various facilities and appreciated the school's infrastructure and academic environment. He reviewed the smart classrooms, teaching-learning facilities, staff strength, and classroom arrangements.

He directed the school administration to regularly assess the reading and writing abilities of students and closely monitor their academic progress.

The DC also interacted with teachers and emphasized the need for continuous evaluation of students to identify learning gaps and improve educational outcomes. He reviewed staff deployment and student attendance and suggested the implementation of biometric attendance systems for students to strengthen monitoring and accountability.

During the visit, Rakesh Kumar also sought information regarding students who had passed out from the institution in recent years. He stressed the importance of tracking the progress of alumni so that their achievements and future educational pursuits can be monitored and supported wherever possible. He reviewed the performance and progress of current students and encouraged the school administration to continue its efforts towards quality education. He also took note of the demand raised by the school management and assured that the matter would be examined appropriately.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited Government high School Tacha, where he inspected the school premises, infrastructure, and available equipment. During the inspection, he laid special emphasis on cleanliness and directed the school management to ensure that every corner of the campus remains neat and well maintained.

He stressed the active involvement of students in cleanliness drives and environmental activities, including plantation campaigns, to instill a sense of responsibility and ownership towards their surroundings.

The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the Village Council representatives and school authorities and reiterated the importance of maintaining a clean, healthy, and student-friendly learning environment. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely maintenance of school facilities and continued efforts towards improving the quality of education and campus management.
