MOS for Consumer Affairs Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya arrived in Leh

Leh, June 22 (KIP)-Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya arrived in Leh today on an official visit to participate in the Sindhu Darshan Festival.
Upon her arrival at Kushok Bakula Rinpochee Airport, the Hon’ble Minister was accorded a warm welcome by senior officers of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department and the Food Corporation of India (FCI).
Among those present to receive the Hon’ble Minister were Director, FCS&CA, Tahir Hussain; Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Ruth Mary; General Manager, FCI J&K (Region), L. Chatru Naik; Assistant General Manager, FCI J&K (Region), E. S. Jagan; District Manager, Srinagar, Kuru Lal Meena; Manager, Kargil, Tsering Toldan; Manager, Leh, G. Mohd; along with other officials of the department.
The visit of the Hon’ble Minister is aimed at reviewing the functioning of the Public Distribution System (PDS), food grain management, and consumer welfare initiatives in the region. During her stay, the Hon’ble Minister is expected to interact with departmental officers and review ongoing schemes and developmental activities related to food security and public distribution.
