Traffic Advisory for Tourists Visiting Gulmarg During Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra–2026

Srinagar, June 30 (KIP)- In order to ensure the safe, secure and seamless movement of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra convoys and to facilitate effective traffic management during the Yatra period, Police Baramulla advises all tourists and visitors intending to travel to Gulmarg to strictly comply with the traffic restrictions notified by Traffic Headquarters, J&K & ZPHQ Kashmir.

As per the notified traffic advisory, no tourist vehicle shall be permitted to proceed from Gulmarg towards Srinagar after 1700 hours (5:00 PM). Likewise, no tourist vehicle shall be allowed to travel from Srinagar towards Gulmarg after 1700 hours. These restrictions shall remain in force throughout the notified Yatra period.

All tourists are advised to plan their travel well in advance and complete their onward and return journeys within the prescribed timings. Visitors are requested to strictly adhere to the directions issued by Police and Traffic Police personnel deployed along the route. Cooperation from all stakeholders is essential for maintaining orderly traffic flow and ensuring the uninterrupted movement of Yatra convoys.

Police Baramulla reiterates that these measures have been instituted purely in the interest of public safety, traffic regulation and the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra–2026. Any inconvenience caused on account of these necessary restrictions is deeply regretted and is solicited in the larger interest of ensuring the safety and security of all road users.

Tourists, hoteliers, transport operators and members of the general public are requested to extend their full cooperation by observing the prescribed traffic regulations and planning their travel accordingly.
