Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign: Photo and Book Display and Painting Competition

Zanskar, August 13 (KIP)-As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, Department of Political Science, Government Degree College (GDC) Zanskar organized a Photo and Book Display, and a Painting Competition to promote the spirit of patriotism, national unity, and respect for the Tiranga.
The programmes were held under the supervision of Principal Dr. Amjad Ali Abbasi and coordinated by Dr. Akbar Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science. Students participated enthusiastically in both activities, reflecting their appreciation for India’s national heritage, freedom struggle, unity, and cultural diversity.
The photo and book display showcased photographs, books, and other materials highlighting India’s freedom struggle, national heroes, the National Flag, and the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
The display provided students with an opportunity to learn about the significance of the Tiranga and the contributions of national leaders and freedom fighters. It also emphasized the values of unity, integrity, patriotism, and respect for the national symbols of India.
The students also participated in the painting competition, showcasing their artistic skills while depicting the National Flag, national heroes, the National Emblem, and themes related to diversity, coexistence, national unity, and patriotism.
Addressing the participants, Dr. Akbar Ali briefed them on the importance of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and the relevance of Independence Week. He encouraged students to strengthen the values of national unity, integrity, patriotism, and harmony through both their actions and creative expressions.
Principal Dr. Amjad Ali Abbasi appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and commended them for producing meaningful and aesthetically impressive artworks. He emphasized that such activities play an important role in fostering national consciousness, cultural pride, and a sense of unity among the youth.
The Painting Competition was organized in three categories: National Symbols and the National Flag, National Heroes, and Cultural Diversity, Coexistence, and the Significance of Unity in India. Four students were selected for awards—one winner from each of the first two categories and two winners from the category focusing on cultural diversity and unity.
The programmes concluded with appreciation for all participating students and a reaffirmation of the college’s commitment to the ideals of patriotism, national unity, cultural harmony, and respect for the Tiranga and other national symbols of India.
