Introductory Meeting of Newly Appointed Accounts Assistants Held in Leh

Leh, September 17 (KIP)- The Finance Department, Union Territory of Ladakh, today organized an introductory meeting of the newly appointed Accounts Assistants, Inspector and Junior Assistant with Sh. Tsewang Tharchin, IA&AS, Commissioner/Secretary, Finance Department, UT of Ladakh, at the Conference Hall, Council Secretariat, Leh.
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Stanzin Donsal, Director Finance; Sh. Jigmet Namgyal, Assistant Commissioner, Excise and Taxation Department / Joint Director, Finance Department; Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, CAO; Ms. Gazaila Shabnam, PAO Leh; Sh. Tsewang Dorji, CAO; Sh. Samuel Zangpo, Sh. Tundup Angmo, and Sh. Skalzang Chospa, COAs; and Ms. Tsering Angmo and Sh. Sonam Stobgyal, Accounts Officers.
38 Accounts Assistants, one Inspector, and one Junior Assistant in the Excise and Taxation Department have been appointed through the examination conducted by the Ladakh Public Service Selection Board (LSSSSB) attended the session.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the newly appointed officials to be introduced to the senior administration of the Finance Department and to gain an understanding of their roles and responsibilities within the financial administration of the Union Territory.
Addressing the newly appointed officials, the Commissioner/Secretary, Finance, emphasized the importance of discipline, sincerity, and dedication in office routine work, and guided them on the functioning of the Department. He also directed the new appointees to strictly follow the prescribed rules while examining and processing financial matters. Senior officers also shared their experience and insights to help the new appointees settle into their roles effectively.
The meeting also discussed the timely conduct of mandatory training for the newly appointed officials and the subsequent examination required for their career progression.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer round, during which the newly appointed Accounts Assistants, along with the newly appointed Inspector and Junior Assistant of the Excise and Taxation Department, had the opportunity to clarify their queries.
The induction of the newly appointed Accounts Assistants, Inspector, and Junior Assistant marks an important step towards strengthening the accounting and financial management system of the Union Territory of Ladakh
