BJP committed to strengthening industrial growth in J&K: Dr Nirmal Singh

Jammu,September 17 (KIP)-Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, said that the BJP is committed to strengthening industrial growth, expanding business opportunities and creating a more supportive ecosystem for contractors and industrialists in Jammu and Kashmir in a meeting organised by BJP Industry Cell Convenor Deepak Gupta at Jammu, in the presence of BJP All Cells Incharge Ved Sharma.
Dr Nirmal Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat is centred on strengthening the economy, expanding infrastructure, encouraging entrepreneurship and creating new opportunities for employment and investment. He said that Jammu and Kashmir has immense potential for industrial and infrastructure development and the Union Government has undertaken major initiatives to accelerate development in the region.
Dr. Nirmal said that the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being observed by the BJP through programmes dedicated to public service and development, reflecting the Prime Minister’s commitment to nation-building and the welfare of society. He urged the business and industrial community to actively contribute to the vision of a developed Jammu and Kashmir and a developed India.
Ved Sharma said that large-scale infrastructure and road construction projects are being undertaken in Jammu and Kashmir with the support of the Central Government, providing significant opportunities for local contractors and entrepreneurs. He said that many contractors face difficulties in undertaking large projects because of the heavy investment required at the initial stage.
Sharma suggested that contractors can explore forming cooperative groups, with 8–10 members joining together to undertake projects collectively. He said that such collective arrangements can enhance their financial and technical capacity and enable them to participate in larger development works. He also called upon industrialists and contractors to actively participate in the Industry Cell. He said that regular interaction between the party and the business community would help identify industry-related concerns and work towards their resolution.
Industry Cell Convenor Deepak Gupta said that the Industry Cell would continue to provide a platform for regular dialogue with contractors, industrialists and traders and thanked all participants for attending the meeting and sharing their views.
Former Gangyal Association President Rajesh Jain, Contractor Association President Narinder Bita, Industry Cell Co-Convenors Rachit Khosla, Rajinder Sharma and Munish Aul, besides other representatives participated in the meeting.
