Haj Committee Organises Introductory, Feedback and Training Programme for Haj 2027 Pilgrims in Kargil

Kargil, September 27 (KIP)-The Haj Committee, UT Ladakh, organised an introductory, feedback and short Haj training programme for Haj 2027 pilgrims at Syed Mehdi Memorial Hall, Kargil.
The programme was attended by Hon’ble Chairman Haj Committee UT Ladakh Ghulam Abbas Abidi, Religious Clerics, Executive Member Dr. Zahida Banoo, JKAS, former Chairman Haj Committee UT Ladakh Mohd Ali Majaz, President JUIAK Sheikh Nazir, officers of the Haj Committee and other concerned members. Pilgrims who performed Haj last year was also participated and shared their experiences.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Sheikh Issa Hafizi.
During the programme, pilgrims were briefed about Haj procedures, preparations, routes and important religious practices. The Ulema-e-Kiram provided guidance regarding the performance of Haj and explained important religious practices and procedures from Madina to Makkah.
Special emphasis was given to pilgrims’ health and fitness, with advice to undergo medical screening, regularly monitor health conditions, carry prescribed medicines, maintain health cards, and start early physical and mental preparation, including regular walking.
The committee also briefed pilgrims about accommodation and transportation arrangements in Madina and Makkah, food facilities, Mina and Arafat services, Muzdalifah arrangements, Jamarat facilities, transportation between Mina, Makkah and Aziziyah, medical services and other basic facilities.
The Haj Suvidha App was also introduced to the pilgrims. The committee demonstrated how to install the application and explained its important features and usage for accessing Haj-related information and services.
A detailed feedback session was also held, during which pilgrims from the previous year highlighted difficulties faced during Haj. The committee noted the issues and assured the pilgrims that they would be taken up with the concerned authorities for resolution.
The Srinagar embarkation point was discussed as a major concern. Chairman Ghulam Abbas Abidi assured that the issue would be taken up with the concerned authorities, including the J&K Government and, if required, the Union Government.
He urged pilgrims to cooperate with Haj Committee members and officials, stressing that mutual cooperation is essential for the smooth completion of Haj.
At the conclusion, Sheikh Liqayat delivered the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all participants.
