Police Apprehends Two Persons In Bandiopra
Recovers 1.5 Kg of Bhang-Like Substance at Garoora Crossing

Srinagar, November 07 (KIP)-November 07: In continuation of its sustained drive against drug abuse and narcotics trafficking, Police in Bandipora apprehended two persons during naka checking at Garoora Crossing and recovered approximately 1.5 Kg Charas like substance from their possession.
They have been identified as Rafaqat Ali Gojar son of Mohd. Gulab Gojar resident of Halwadi, Aragam and Zakir Hussain Qureshi son of Ghulam Noorani Qureshi resident of Chapran, Aragam.
Accordingly, a Case FIR No. 72/2026 under Sections 8/20-29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Aragam, and investigation has been initiated to ascertain further links and establish the source and intended destination of the recovered contraband.
Police reiterates its commitment to intensifying efforts against the drug menace and urges the general public to cooperate with police in identifying and reporting drug-related activities.
